Subject matter of the processing
Momentum will collect data on individual participants that enrol / express an
interest in any Momentum training programmes.
Duration of the processing
The core data collected on participants will be held for 6 years from the end of
the participant’s relationship with Momentum. Non-core data will be held for 1
year from the end of the participant’s relationship with Momentum.
Nature and purposes of the processing
Momentum will register the personal data of all individuals that enroll onto a training course or programme.
The purpose is to provide participants with academic and non-academic
services. In particular, personal data is processed for the following reasons:
- Communicating Momentum learning opportunities to individuals who
have expressed an interest or enquired about Momentum products and
services. - Administering and managing the training programme and qualifications
and all matters connected to the programme of study/training
Communicating information to participants pertaining to the programme
of study/training - Providing services that may include accommodation, academic skills,
pastoral care, advice and guidance, security, health and safety,
information and communications technology - Monitoring, quality assuring and auditing activities
Undertaking evaluation and research specifically intended to better
understand student needs in order to improve our provision
Sometimes Momentum may need to process data and/or sensitive personal
data (special categories) without consent in situations it deems to be critical
or an emergency (e.g. if a participant has an accident or is taken unwell).
Type of Personal Data
Compulsory information: First name; Surname; email address; contact
telephone number; Optional information which the individual may choose to submit: postal address, job title; dietary requirements; Vehicle Registration; Accessibility Requirements;
Plan for return and destruction of the data once the processing is
complete UNLESS requirement under union or member state law to preserve that type of data
All data will be collected electronically.
The core data collected on the participants attending will be held for 6 years
from the end of the participant’s relationship with Momentum.
Non-core data will be held for 1 year from the end of the participant’s
relationship with Momentum.
Upon request any data required to be destroyed will be done so immediately
by removing these electronically from our system.
Sharing data
Momentum will not share any participant data with third parties without consent.
